Since 1983 the St.Gallen Abbey District is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the district encompasses Switzerland’s oldest library, next to the picturesque Old town.

This innovative approach enhances the pitch’s durability and allows for more frequent use. The stadium, with a capacity of around 20’000, not only hosts football matches for FC St. Gallen but also accommodates various cultural events, contributing to its multifaceted appeal.
