Lancashire FA is the governing body for football in the North West of the UK. In addition to its offices, the venue has a professional football stadium that has hosted matches for Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Everton, Burnley, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers, Southampton, Newcastle and some international teams too. The stadium can accommodate 3000 people and has a spectator stand that can seat 506 persons under cover. It provides professional modern changing rooms, medical facilities, floodlights, irrigation, and an experienced management team and staff including two dedicated grounds persons. The facility also has 2 all-weather pitches, car parking for up to 150 cars and 4 team coaches, designated private access to dressing rooms and a range of function and meeting rooms. The 1878 Café has views across the main pitch with an outdoor terrace. Recently refurbished in 2020, the venue has a modern vibrant feel which is complimented by friendly efficient staff. You will arrive to find a welcoming reception area and staff to greet you, and a trophy display cabinet with one of the oldest trophies in UK football dating back to 1878. The venue, set in its own private land, is located just off the main motorway with excellent road and rail links. Also set within the grounds is a gym and pool, use of which can be negotiated for a team.
